The Thinking Woman’s Therapist
Founder & Director, Four Corners Counseling & Wellbeing
I love helping women discover their best selves.
I am passionate about the idea that we are on a spiritual journey and that life is about learning and growing and expanding -- and I am also passionately sympathetic about how hard it can be to be human!
While In graduate school, I had my first encounter with depression and anxiety. I saw a psychiatrist for the first time, learned to manage my moods and to be in a committed relationship. By the time I finished school, I knew I wanted to help others, especially women and couples, deal with issues similar to those I had struggled with.
After over a decade of practice, I have developed expertise in mood disorders, interpersonal trauma and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder); stressful life transitions & major life events; as well as addiction recovery, adult ADD, and couples therapy.
I practice out of a strengths-based, mindfulness model of therapy called Internal Family Systems (IFS), the fastest growing therapy model in the U.S. I am a speaker, writer and teacher on the model, and I offer that expertise to my clients. I love to see the transformation that occurs when clients begin to their life skills from a compassionate "self-led" space. And I love to help clients integrate whole-hearted, wise and spiritual approaches into real life. I'm thrilled to have the practice of my dreams where I can offer you the help you need and deserve.
