What’s your favorite quote or mantra you can’t live without?
"Do without doing and everything gets done." It's sort of a spin on a quote from the Tao Te Ching.
Also, "The flexible shall inherit the earth." - quote from an old friend's mother.
Are you a dog or a cat person?
While I like most animals, I would definitely consider myself a dog person.
What are three "fun facts" about you?
#1 I've been to Machu Picchu twice
#2 My wife and I constructed our own wedding venue (with the help of many lovely friends and volunteers)
#3 I ran my first (and only) marathon at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
What is your favorite food/snack?
A good chips and salsa.
What is one interesting thing you have done or learned during the pandemic?
How to be a dad (it's a work in progress).
What modalities are you drawn to using in the therapy room?
Mindfulness, Self-compassion and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
What is one piece of advice that you would give someone who is struggling?
Reach out to loved ones. The root of much of our suffering is isolation, feeling that we are the only ones going through this. None of us are in this alone and it makes people that care about you feel better when they can help.
