Live the Life You Want

I imagine you’re looking for a therapist because there are things about your life you want to change. Maybe you’re tired of feeling stressed. Or you want to communicate better in your relationship. Or you need help with a big life transition. Or you want to enjoy life more. I will help you find the root causes of the patterns and behaviors that get in the way of living the life you want. Once those root causes are addressed, you’ll be able to make choices to help achieve your goals and uncover your true potential.

I take a hands-on but nonjudgmental approach. My goal is for you to feel safe enough to explore all parts of yourself, even those that you don’t want anyone to know about. I believe in meeting you where you’re at. You might need help figuring out what you’re truly feeling about a situation or decision. But I’m also willing to offer specific, actionable advice, like healthy communication skills or tips for being consistent with self-care.

My Path

Many years ago, a broken heart led me to go to therapy. I learned how to soothe my anxiety, show up more authentically with others, and be compassionate with myself. Along the way, I transitioned careers from marketing for Fortune 500 tech companies to advocating for economic and racial justice in Congress and in statehouses and city halls nationwide. I also trained as a meditation teacher at Washington, D.C.’s Lamont Dharma House, a yoga and meditation residential center connected with Tara Brach’s Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW).

I’ll bring all of this experience into helping you figure out what’s in the way of living the life you want. I’m committed to providing a safe, welcoming space, regardless of your sexuality, gender, culture, or form of spirituality.

What People Are Saying…

"Working with Jeremy has been an enlightening journey of self-discovery and getting to know my parts. With his help, I've been able to better understand the true depth of my feelings and how they arise. I've gotten to better know and appreciate myself, which is a reward I don't think I could have ever achieved on my own."

- Sophia, Washington, DC

"Jeremy has been helping me through a period of significant adjustment since I retired (again) last year. His practice of spending a few minutes in meditation at the beginning of each session has been surprisingly rewarding (I have not been a fan in the past). The Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy approach he uses has guided me to a new way of understanding and coming to terms with this next phase of my life."

- Dennis, Washington, DC
